Iain Robertson and Clare Wardman

– Artists in Residence Show April 2010

Iain Robertson and Clare Wardman From St.Ives, Cornwall, England.

Iain Robertson and Clare Wardman were Wharepuke’s first artists in residence. The show showcased paintings and prints made during their residency

The idea of interconnectedness within the global artistic community was being embraced and explored by UK practitioners Iain Robertson and Clare Wardman as the first artists in residence at Wharepuke in Kerikeri. Chris and Anne-Marie Booth offered them the initial invitation and provided them with accommodation and studio space.

During the residency period they collaborated with Master Printmaker Mark Graver at the Wharepuke Print Studio, New Zealand’s only dedicated non toxic printmaking workshop, to develop new prints, and they made works on paper to compliment major works shipped from their Porthmeor Studio in St.Ives, Cornwall which they exhibited at Art at Wharepuke

Iain and Clare gave a talk to enthusiastic North Tec art students and had an open floor talk at Art at Wharepuke.

Residency February 28th to April 21st 2010
